OOTB Initiative 2021

Programming is the universal language of the future, and is essential a skill as mathematics, reading, or writing.

Thus, DDTEC's Out of The Box initiative endeavors to create pathways forward for incarcerated individuals and returning citizens with a practicable education in fundamental computer science principles, the edification of essential programming skills, sustainable pre and post release opportunities, and a network of reentry resources.




TWEET-LINE (Python 3.7+, SQLite, Twitter API, News API) 2020

Using TWITTER's official API in tandem with the NEWS API, Tweets and current headlines are aggregated and stored in an SQLite DB. The Tweets and Headlines are then analyzed to look for patterns and trends.
